Berwick Upon Tweed, lying mid-way between Edinburgh and
Newcastle-upon-Tyne, is the most northerly town in England situated on the
English-Scottish Border and is the only town in Britain to be completely
surrounded by Elizabethan walls, the finest preserved medieval walls in
Europe. Also in the town is Berwick Barracks, the first purpose built barracks

Holy
Island, Lindisfarne / Holy Island is an important part of Christianity
in the British History. The Lindisfarne Monastery was founded in around
the year 635 AD. Today you can reach the island by a small causeway that
is covered by the tides twice a day so it is recommended you check the tide
tables before starting your journey. There are plenty of places to visit
on the island including the Monastery ruins, there is also Lindisfarne Castle.

The Farne Islands, is a Paradise for seabirds, and seals, both common and grey. They are reached by boat from the village of Seahouses on the Northumberland coast. The islands are owned by the National Trust and National Trust members land free of charge on the Island and for non-members there is a charge payable to the Wardens on landing. The trip there by boat may be charged aswell.
Kelso, just has to be one of the most picturesque country towns in Scotland. Bamburgh,
is packed with quaint shops, cafes and the commemorative Grace Darling Museum,

and horse riding. The golden sands extend at low tide all the way to Seahouses

Alnwick, is the historic county town of Northumberland.

family home to the Duke of Northumberland. Rising magnificently from the

Northumberland National Park is the northernmost national
park in England, and is considered by many to be England's finest national
park, The Park is a landscape of serene rolling purple moorlands and undulating
golden grassland. The park is also an important site of ancient woodlands,
home to deer and red squirrel. There is excellent walking in the Otterburn Range north of the River Coquet. Also The Pennine Way long distance trail runs through the park from south to north
